The Bottom Worm Longshank was designed as a smaller version of the Bottom Meat, specifically tailored for lighter gear and smaller inshore fish. It can be deployed individually or as a "Fish Catching Sinker" at the bottom of a paternoster rig. Traditionally, over 70% of whiting are hooked on the bottom dropper hook of such rigs, making the Bottom Worm Hybrid an excellent alternative for enhancing your chances of catching fish on the seafloor.
During field trials targeting sand whiting and King George whiting, the Bottom Worm Hybrid proved more effective as a sinker than the bottom dropper hook. Equipped with a razor-sharp BKK Mutsu circle hook and a resilient, scented Vexed Bottom Worm, it's ideal for presenting small soft baits like worms, pipi, squid, prawn, and mussel. Available in sizes ranging from 3.5gm to 130gm and hook sizes from #10 to #1, Bottom Worm Hybrids cater to a wide range of fish species, whether you're fishing from a boat, beach, estuary, jetty, or river bank.
Moreover, Bottom Worm Hybrids can be jigged through structure or slowly hopped across the bottom without bait, making them suitable for targeting various inshore species such as bream, flathead, and whiting.
