Description

As the name suggests the Shimano Sephia Clinch Long Appeal Jet Boost squid jig features Shimano's JET BOOST mechanism, a center-of-gravity shifting system. This innovative mechanism provides the squid jig with a slow sinking speed characteristic without affecting it's casting performance. It delivers overwhelming long casting performance with an average flying distance of 52m (49m for the 3.0) and is the first time it has been installed on Shimano's outstanding squid jig range.

The sinking speed is approximately 7.4 seconds/m (5.8 for the 3.0), realizing a fall slower than that of a typical shallow-type EGI squid lure.

It has a long appeal in terms of both distance and time, and also has a FLASH BOOST to keep attracting bigfin reef squid during the long fall. This is effectively a new type of EGI squid jig, that combines an unparalleled casting distance while preserving a slow fall attribute.

Technology & Features:

• FLASH BOOST - This mechanism is fitted with a spring-loaded reflective plate suspended inside the body. It uses rod action and other vibrations, and further vibrates the lure with the spring to keep attracting the lure with small, sparkling flashing even during drifts when the lure is not moving.

• JET BOOST - This is a center-of-gravity shifting mechanism that enables both stable long casts and rapid swimming by supporting the center-of-gravity shifting weight with a through-shaft and spring. The JET BOOST system has been thoroughly tested for three key elements: initial casting speed, stable flight posture, and rapid swimming. It realizes a long casting lure that can be fished regardless of the user's skill level.

• SCALE BOOST - Holograms mimic the realistic patterns of baitfish scales. Composite pitch holograms provide complex reflections in the water like the scales of real bait fish.
