The Nomad RIDGEBACK JIG features a distinctive shape and original design that delivers a dynamic, highly responsive jigging action. It can be worked slowly with subtle rod-tip flicks for slow-pitch presentations, or retrieved quickly for high-speed jigging. Its unique angled head causes the jig to dart sharply to the side at the top of each lift — simply give the rod a small flick and the Ridgeback will shoot sideways, flutter briefly, then begin its descent again.
When fished slowly, the jig produces an enticing flutter before dropping faster through the water column, making it especially effective for slow-pitch techniques. Whether worked fast or slow, the Ridgeback’s unpredictable sideways movement creates an erratic action that both pelagic and bottom-dwelling predators find difficult to ignore.
Each jig comes equipped with purpose-matched Heavy Duty BKK Assist Hooks — 3X strength on smaller sizes and 5X on larger models. Slow-pitch versions are fitted with twin assist hooks, while larger high-pitch models are rigged with heavy-duty single assists for maximum strength and reliability.
