The Metal Effect Blade is a variation of the popular Jackson Metal Effect Stay Fall lure. With its glittering, flashing blade component it creates an irresistible target for fish with its wave like motion in the water. Stronger single hooks are used in order to ensure that the moment the fish strikes, it'll remain hooked. It is a slimline micro jig and casting metal hybrid that offers exceptional performance on both the retrieve and the drop. It has been designed for maximum versatility and performs well with a jerking retrieve (whether for vertical jigging or casting) making it ideal for use from the shore, or from a boat when dropping over the side.
The most significant enhancement in the Jackson Metal Effect Blade is the addition of the blade and single hook at the rear, distinguishing it from the original Stay Fall design. This lure's action, flash, and spin are all outstanding and have been well engineered. Its tight, bright blade spiral catches the eye and attracts fish, whether you’re jigging or spinning.
The lure is specifically designed to maximize the 'Kurohyou Jerk' technique, where the angler jerks the lure three times, then reels in three times. This method produces dynamic action on the jerks but typically minimal movement between them. The Jackson Metal Effect Blade Lure’s unique shape ensures enticing movement even during pauses, as its slack-line descent triggers strikes while it falls.
To enhance casting performance, the center of gravity is deliberately shifted slightly toward the rear, ensuring the lure flies straight and true for maximum distance without flipping over. Although its asymmetrical design might suggest a bottom-first sink, the precisely contoured middle enables a horizontal fall, allowing for an extended pause in the water column.
