This latest generation features a Powerdrive Zaion Rotor, built to enhance structural integrity while maintaining a lightweight feel. Designed to minimise flex under heavy load, the upgraded rotor improves winding efficiency and gives you superior control when battling hard-fighting offshore species. Combined with Daiwa’s rigid Monocoque Body construction, the Certate SW accommodates larger internal gearing and maximises power transfer, all within a compact yet exceptionally durable frame.
To ensure lasting performance in punishing saltwater environments, Magsealed technology helps shield internal components from water and contaminants. Daiwa’s ATD drag system then delivers smooth, consistent pressure, allowing you to stay in control during prolonged fights with powerful fish.

- OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR - Built with G1 duralumin for exceptional durability, the Oversized Power Digigear is larger in diameter and thicker than the previous model. Precisely engineered gear teeth enhance drive efficiency, while minimal deflection ensures stable, consistent meshing. This reduces power loss, providing smooth and effortless winding performance.
- POWERDRIVE DESIGN - The next generation of large spinning reels have been designed in pursuit of powerful reliability, enabling anglers to target the largest fish around the world. POWERDRIVE DESIGN consists of two technology units: the body unit “POWERDRIVE ENGINE” and the rotor unit “POWERDRIVE ROTOR”, a spherical rotor shape that achieves both high rigidity and low inertia.
- ZAION ROTOR - Daiwa’s ‘Air Rotor’ technology combines with the famous Zaion material to create a strong yet lightweight rotor with flawless shape to increase reel sensitivity and rotational balance.
- MAGSEALED BODY - Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
- MONOCOQUE BODY - MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require conventional side plate, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.
- AUTOMATIC TOURNAMENT DRAG - Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
