With the rise in popularity of the specialist slow jigging market, Daiwa has expanded its offering with the introduction of the brand-new Saltist Hyper range of specialist slow jig rods.

Saltist Hyper SJ expands on the ever-popular range of Saltist Hyper rods which were upgraded in 2020 and gives the offshore angler even more choice in one of the best bang-for-buck rod ranges available.

Combining Daiwa’s HVF graphite with newly released X45X Full Shield technology, the action and responsiveness of these rods has to be seen to be believed for the price. X45X Full Shield graphite increases torsional stiffness, which reduces blank twist under load. Something that is important in a jigging rod where the up and down motion of working a jig can mean a lot of lost potential energy through twisting of the rod blank. By reducing this twisting force, the rod recovers much faster meaning the action of your jig will be improved.

Outfitted with Fuji stainless steel ‘O’ ring guides and Fuji reel seats, the new Saltist Hyper SJ exudes quality & refinement.

Made at the preferred 6’2” length for the optimum action, Saltist Hyper SJ is available in both overhead and spin configurations in PE 2, 3 & 4 variations.

• HVF - HVF (High Volume Fibre) combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce a blank with maximum graphite density, making it incredibly sensitive, light and responsive.
• SPLIT GRIP - A spilt rear grip that has an exposed blank section between the reel seat and the end of the rod.
• X45X FULL SHIELD - X45X Full Shield Technology is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology. With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting & jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure.
