The Shimano Ascenza BFS Rod Range is purpose-built for the increasingly popular Bait Finesse System (BFS) style of ultra-light baitcast fishing. Designed to deliver exceptional casting precision and lure control with even the lightest casting weights, these rods provide the sensitivity and accuracy needed for technical finesse presentations.
Both models feature genuine Fuji Alconite guides arranged in a weight-saving spiral wrap configuration. This design helps reduce torque through the blank while maintaining a smooth, efficient line path for improved casting performance. Fuji skeleton reel seats and custom split grips further reduce weight while providing a comfortable, direct connection between angler and rod.
The shorter Ascenza BFS 602 is ideally suited to small, tight and skinny waterways where accurate presentations and precise lure placement are essential. For situations requiring greater casting distance, the longer Ascenza BFS 732 provides additional reach and helps anglers punch lighter lures out towards hard-to-reach structure and prime holding areas.
Both models pair perfectly with Shimano SLX BFS and Curado BFS reels, creating a lightweight and highly capable setup for anglers looking to maximise the performance of ultra-light baitcasting tackle.
