HAGANE is a Shimano reel design concept created to withstand continual use and extreme abuse. HAGANE is an innovation with built-in toughness and durability that works alongside Shimano's precision engineering. HAGANE is for all anglers.
- MICROMODULE
The MicroModule Gear technology creates a smooth retrieve by utilizing smaller teeth to increase the number of contact points between the drive gear and pinion gear.
- HAGANE BODY
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting a fish. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power.
- INFINITY DRIVE
INFINITYDRIVE technology is an advanced structure that produces lower friction and lighter winding. Pinion gear is supported by the spool shaft instead of the pinion gear bearing on the spool side. Rotational resistance of the gear section has been reduced without compromising gear strength.
- SILENTDRIVE
O-ring is placed on the pinion gear inner diameter support of the spool shaft. Reducing play between both parts contributes to improved handle rotation feel.
- MAGNUMLITE SPOOL 4
The reverse tapered spool corrects the winding shape and reduces spool vibration. The spool balance after spooling has a significant impact on casting performance. The beginning of the line spooling is particularly important. The newly developed Magnum Light Spool IV features a reverse-tapered shape that is ultra-thin and designed for extremely low inertia.
