At the heart of the AHI Spec is a premium Japanese Toray carbon hollow-core blank, engineered for strength and durability under extreme loads. Its specially tuned soft tip helps maintain consistent pressure during intense boat-side battles, improving hook retention and reducing the risk of pulled hooks when tuna make their final runs. This combination of a forgiving tip and powerful backbone provides the control needed for heavy vertical jigging and demanding offshore encounters.
Heavy-duty Fuji components complete the build, including a Fuji DPS reel seat with locking nut for secure reel mounting and Fuji KW Alconite guides for reliable line flow under load.
