When the fish are feeding on small bait or a fast-falling jig is shooting straight through the strike zone, it pays to slow things down. The Buffalo Jr Micro Jig brings the proven Flash Fall action of the original Buffalo Jig into a compact, light-tackle package built for shallow water, estuaries and inshore fishing.
Its centre-weighted design produces a slow, controlled flutter on the drop, throwing plenty of flash and giving fish more time to inspect—and hopefully smash—your offering. The compact baitfish profile is ideal when predators are keyed in on smaller bait or need a more subtle presentation to get them interested. Available in weights from 5g to 20g, the Buffalo Jr delivers serious jigging action on finesse tackle.
You don't need specialised gear or complicated techniques to get this micro jig working. Give it a lift, let it fall and let the Buffalo Jr do the rest. Slow lifts, short hops and cast-and-fall retrieves all bring the Flash Fall action to life. Cast it across estuary flats, work it along rock walls and jetties, jig shallow reefs vertically or drop it beneath the kayak.
Built for a broad range of Australian estuary and inshore predators, the Buffalo Jr is right at home targeting bream, flathead, trevally, tailor, Australian salmon, snapper, jewfish, bonito and school kingfish. Fitted with premium BKK 2X Twin Assist Hooks, it's ready to tie on and fish.
When you need a compact jig that hangs in the strike zone and gives fish a little more time to commit, the Buffalo Jr Micro Jig is a handy weapon to have in the tackle box.
