The Daiwa 26 TD Battler AGS Spinning Rod range takes Daiwa Australia’s flagship light-tackle series to the next level. Purpose-built for Australian anglers, the latest TD Battler combines some of Daiwa’s most advanced rod technologies to deliver exceptional sensitivity, crisp response, and impressive power across a wide variety of freshwater and estuary applications.
At the heart of each rod is an ultra-premium SVF Compile-X Nanoplus graphite blank, delivering an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio with a lightweight, highly responsive feel in hand. Daiwa’s 3DX and X45X Full Shield technologies further refine the blank by reducing unwanted twist, improving lifting power, and maximising energy transfer through the cast and when fighting fish.
The latest generation AGS carbon fibre guides keep weight to an absolute minimum while enhancing sensitivity, line control, and casting performance. Paired with Daiwa’s lightweight ZERO SEAT reel seat, the result is an incredibly connected feel that allows you to pick up subtle bites, bottom contact, and the smallest changes in lure action.
The expanded 26 TD Battler lineup has been carefully developed around the techniques Australian anglers actually fish. From ultralight finesse presentations for bream and other light-tackle species through to more powerful applications, there’s a TD Battler designed to match the job.

- SVF COMPILE X NANOPLUS: An incredibly high-modulus carbon sheet with nano-technology resin which offers unmatched sensitivity and power-to-weight ratio. Allowing for blanks which are both incredibly lightweight, and ultra-crisp and responsive.
- X45X Full Shield Technology is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology. With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting & jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure.
- ZERO SEAT TECHNOLOGY - Daiwa’s new reel seat concept that features a highly palmable design for ulitmate comfort and functionality in both spin, baitcast and overhead reel.
- V JOINT ALPHA: Lighter and stronger than its predessor, V-Joint Alpha features Bias construction that allows the rod joint to flex with the rod to eliminate flat spots and weakness in the ferrule joint.
