2023 marks the Daiwa TATULA brand's 10th anniversary and the occasion has been commemorated with a comprehensive redesign of one of Daiwa's most beloved baitcast reels, the Tatula TW 100.

The latest model showcases an entirely new frame design, integrating HYPERDRIVE Design for the first time. HYPERDRIVE represents the culmination of various crucial elements, aiming to deliver a reel with enhanced winding power under load, coupled with a smoother and more enduring feel. Not only that but Daiwa's distinctive and award-winning T-Wing System (TWS) for extended casts and MAGFORCE Z braking for reliable performance in any conditions make the new TATULA TW 100 the perfect tribute to a decade of TATULA excellence.

Features & Technology:

ALUMINIUM BODY - Lightweight and incredibly strong, aluminium allows strength and weightlessness to be achieved without the cost and corrosion issues of other metals.

TWS - Daiwa’s revolutionary T-Wing System addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN - HYPERDRIVE Design consists of four of the key pillars. Hyper Armed Housing, Hyper Tough Clutch, Hyper Double Support & HYPERDRIVE Digigear.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR - HYPERDRIVE Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa’s Digigear concept delivering a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.

AIR ROTATION - At the core of Air Rotation is precision designed and machined gearing, a level of refinement that makes for unrivalled cranking smoothness when under load. Air Rotation is as light as air and as smooth silk.

90mm HANDLE - The all-rounder of handle lengths is suited to a variety of applications from finesse to mid to heavy-duty angling.

ALLOY HANDLE - Light, yet strong, and highly corrosion resistant this a handle that’s the great all-rounder and suited to most applications.

INFINITE ANTI-REVERSE - Daiwa's advanced system that limits rearward backplay handle movement to almost zero for solid hooksets with less shock to the reel. The result is the elimination of handle slap-back and the unwanted release of line.

MAGFORCE Z - The next generation of Daiwa’s magnetic anti-backlash system like Magforce V before it combines the best aspects of modern magnetic and centrifugal breaking, albeit with some slight differences. Unlike Magforce V magnetic braking is only applied at maximum spool speed, as a result it allows the spool to reach a higher peak speed and allows it to spin for longer. Magforce Z is considered to be best suited to longer casting pursuits and heavier weights.
