The BUCCA Baby Bull Rat Lure is a realistic topwater wakebait designed by Mike Bucca to imitate a rodent swimming across the surface — a natural food source that consistently triggers explosive reaction strikes from aggressive predatory fish.
Built with a two-piece jointed body, the lure produces a lifelike swimming action combined with an audible “clacking” sound that helps draw attention from distance. A detailed fur-like texture and ultra-realistic paint finishes further enhance its natural rodent profile, making it a convincing target in clear or pressured water.
The Baby Bull Rat is designed for versatile topwater presentations. A slow to steady retrieve creates a natural swimming wake, while rod-tip twitches allow it to be worked “walk-the-dog” style for added surface disturbance and strike appeal. Running just beneath or along the surface at around 0–1 ft depth, it stays in the strike zone where big fish feed.
